Team Falcons intentionally lost so their heroes wouldn't get nerfed in the new patch, - SunBhie

Once upon a time, Li ‘SunBhie’ Chon Je, the Aurora coach, quipped at Team Falcons loss in the Elite League Grand Finals. He claimed that they lost on purpose so as to save their heroes from being nerfed by Valve in the impending update.

The joke was posted on SunBhie’s Twitter page:

“falcons strategically lost so that their heroes wouldn't get nerfed before riyadh/ti. Dear Valve, do the impossible and nerf all 8 of them”

This was based on rumors that Valve usually nerfs heroes of winning teams in Dota 2 tournaments. Thus, SunBhie said that Team Falcons threw away a smaller tournament opportunity for them to have higher chances of winning it all at Riyadh Masters or The International 2024.

Recall earlier when Jinzhong ‘Sneyking’ Yu, Team Falcons captain had mentioned that the heroes he used to win DreamLeague Season 22 were nerfed in patch 7.35d of Dota 2.
