Andrei “Dukalis” Kuropatkin, a
PARIVISION player, and Andreas Frank “Cr1t” Nielsen, a
Team Falcons support, openly exchanged accusations of abusing pauses for no good reason during a match at DreamLeague 26.
The incident happened right during the game:
Dukalis: Reason?
Cr1t: Lag
Dukalis: That's the third time.
Cr1t: Yeah, that's right. Just like you put 20 pauses because of headphones at tournaments
The situation started with Dukalis expressing his dissatisfaction with another pause from Cr1t and questioning his opponent's frequent lags. Cr1t, in turn, responded with irony, recalling Dukalis' habit of pausing for other technical reasons, in particular because of headphones.
Note that such behavior violates ESL guidelines, which prescribe limiting communication in the general chat of tournament matches to wishes of good luck and “GG”. However, at the time of publication, the organizers have not reacted to the altercation between players.
Earlier Dukalis told us why Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko refused to shake his hand at the tournament.
