Team Empire, on its official website, announced changes in the Dota 2 roster.
Alexey «Mastery» Vinchevskiy and Dzhama «jAMES» Abdurashitov, who have been in the roster since December 2019, leave the team. Alexey «Smiling Knight» Sviridov has been temporarily benched.
Instead of them, Team Empire will take as stand-ins: Alexander «Lightless» Potapenko, Vsevolod «Nattynarwhal» Pelekh and Maxim «Shachlo» Abramovskikh. Also Team Empire sign Oleg «sayuw» Kalenbet as the main team player
Team Empire esports director Alexander «StrangeR» Solomonov commented on these changes:
First, I want to thank Mastery and jAMES for working together for almost a year. We've really come a long way, and I'm sure it was not in vain to either side. Both players become free agents, I wish them luck and to find a new team as soon as possible. The second change was the return of the well-known sayuw to Team Empire. Oleg didn't play on the professional level for some time, nevertheless, he showed himself perfectly in test games and met our expectations. Also, one of the key changes in the team is the change to the Lightless role. While there is time before the major tournaments, we decided to try playing with Alexander as a carry. Smiling Knight has been temporarily benched. Time will show whether we succeed or not, but all the prerequisites for positive results are there. A place on the middle lane as a standin will be taken by a little-known player — Nattynarwhal. Also, Shachlo will continue to play for our team as a standin.
Состав Team Empire:
- Alexander «Lightless» Potapenko;
- Vsevolod «Nattynarwhal» Pelekh (standin);
- Maxim «Shachlo» Abramovskikh (standin);
- Oleg «sayuw» Kalenbet;
- Sergey «EcNart» Slobodyanyk;
- Alexey «Smiling Knight» Sviridov (benched).
