Tommy “Taiga” Le received a lifetime ban from ESIC for participating in match fixing schemes and sharing insider information.
This was reported on the official ESIC website
The commission noted that such a harsh punishment was given because the player did not appear when called during the investigation. In addition it was mentioned that his answers to questions about the violations were not very helpful.
He was accused of communicating with people connected to 322, leaking insider information and also arranging match outcomes during games while receiving financial benefit.
Now the former esports player cannot officiate or play in tournaments sanctioned by ESIC. At the same time many people in the Dota 2 community believe this punishment is pointless because the player has already retired.
Taiga has not commented on the ESIC lifetime ban yet, but previously admitted having gambling problems.
