Tommy "Taiga" Le, a former player of the
OG lineup, has been accused of involvement in match-fixing.
This information surfaced in an investigation by the blogger Morf published on YouTube.
According to his findings, the Norwegian esports player placed bets on specific events in matches involving his team after The International 2022.
In Morf's video, he displayed conversations and messages on Discord between Taiga and Alexander "Sensibility" Filatov, discussing bets on
OG matches. These bets included predictions for first blood, total kills, and map duration.
As per the blogger, Taiga actively proposed specific bets himself and then executed corresponding actions in the games, including deliberately giving away first blood to opponents, for instance, in a match against
Beastcoast during DreamLeague Season 19. Additionally, Le streamed his screen for Sensibility during official matches and engaged in correspondence with him.
Taiga told Morf that he had to cooperate with Sensibility due to threats he received. However, the correspondence suggests that the player often initiated bets on his team's matches. Sensibility began to blackmail Taiga when he attempted to stop participating in match-fixing activities.
In October 2023, Taiga admitted to gambling addiction and psychological issues. He stated that he had lost more money than he earned throughout his career. However, at that time, the esports player denied placing bets on his team's matches or Dota 2 matches in general.
It's worth noting that Sebastian "Ceb" Debs previously revealed that the club conducted an investigation regarding Taiga's potential involvement in 322 scandals.
