Tommy "Taiga" Le, playing for
Bleed Esports, unexpectedly defeated two-time world champion Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen in matchmaking after his return to the professional Dota 2 scene.
This is evidenced by the data from Dota2 Pro Tracker.

Judging by the match statistics, Topson didn't perform exceptionally well on
Elder Titan in the game, managing to send enemy heroes to the fountain only twice, while Taiga on
Crystal Maiden was able to eliminate five opponents during the skirmish.
As a result, the match ended with a crushing defeat for Topson's team. Taiga and his teammates dominated the map almost from the beginning of the match, not giving the opponents a chance to turn the tide.

It's interesting to note that both players share a common history, as each of them was a member of
OG, a team that won The International twice.
Recall that Taiga has returned to esports and is now playing for the
Bleed Esports team. He made a successful debut at the Kobolds Rave tournament.
