Tommy "Taiga" Le, former
OG player, stated that Morf's investigation was taken out of context, and he was not an accomplice but rather a victim of Sensibility. However, the esports player acknowledges that he broke the rules and is ready to accept any punishment.
The pro player wrote about this on his Twitter page.
"I have been waiting for the investigation for a long time and am glad it came out. However, I did not expect everything to be taken out of context. At that time, I was under immense pressure, and I was not an accomplice to Sensibility, but rather a broken person who was used and pressured. Voice messages and chat logs are scattered everywhere to paint me in a bad light for views and to present Sensibility as a necessary evil"
According to him, many moments of the investigation could have been taken out of context. He emphasized that this could have been done to paint him in a bad light and garner views.
"The transactions mentioned in the video never happened, and I did not profit from them. It was never about money; it was just a tool for fueling addiction. The 'mafia' was never directly related to me either. Nonetheless, Sensibility likes to think of himself as someone who seems cool. I NEVER leaked maps before or during my time with OG, and I never bet on us losing"
He also mentioned that he never leaked maps and never placed bets against his team. Moreover, he admitted that he provided information not for money, but rather due to a gambling addiction and the desire to silence the blackmailer.
"But yes, I leaked information to Sensibility for his own bets because at the time, I owed him and streamed so he could do his thing and leave me alone so I could focus on the game. Everything I did was a result of 'negotiations' with him because he wanted me to throw matches, which I never did and never will. It was the only way to shut him up"
The pro player emphasized that he was not an accomplice but rather a victim exploited by the mafia. Furthermore, he stated that he was used by Sensibility, whom he considered a friend.
"I don't know why I did it. Due to my gambling addiction and the shame of hiding it from my family and friends, my personality completely changed. According to my therapist, this is very common among people under severe stress and addiction. I no longer thought rationally, so it was easy to take advantage of my anxiety and fear. Honestly, I thought he was my new friend. That's why I shared my story and problems with him"
Summing up, Taiga stated that Morf's investigation was not entirely truthful, and many facts were allegedly twisted.
"Morph got views and had to advertise Sensibility's social media in his video. Not to mention that they twisted everything to make it look plausible. No wonder they worked on the investigation for eight months"
He also emphasized that his teammates had nothing to do with it, and he is ready to accept fair punishment from tournament organizers and Valve.
Previously, Morph released an investigation revealing new facts about Taiga's involvement in match-fixing in Dota 2.
