Malr1ne ban

Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, the midlaner for Team Falcons, may have received a VAC ban by mistake due to a spam of reports against him, and Valve might lift the restriction.

This was explained by analyst Kirill “Sunlight” Kachinsky during a Twitch stream.

“They can ban by mistake. My trade was banned on my main account even though I’ve never traded anything in my life. As far as I understand, at least on Steam, in the beginning they ban you if you get heavily reported. It’s just some kind of spam-report attack. Later, Valve will investigate”

Sunlight explained that the VAC ban likely hit the player erroneously due to an automated system. According to him, the player could have been flooded with reports, and in such cases, Valve initially bans the player and only then investigates the situation. The analyst emphasized that even a Dota 2 world champion can’t influence this process.

However, he believes that Valve will eventually lift the ban after reviewing the case. It’s worth noting that Saeid “SumaiL” Hassan’s public appeal to Valve didn’t help remove his lifetime ban in CS2. Even a year later, the VAC ban is still active on his account.
