SumaiL Spoke Out About Dota 2 Matchmaking

Sumail “Sumail” Hassan stated that he has never liked playing in Dota 2 matchmaking due to the nature of the player base in ranked matches.

The player made this statement on YouTube.

“I don’t know, I just can’t sit there and play public matches. I never could. And I still can’t.

When I log into the game and just see those usernames, to be honest, I get the feeling that I just don’t want to deal with these subhumans. It’s not arrogance, but these people seem unreal, you know? I don’t think any of them ever went to school or even to computer clubs. They grew up playing online since they were six or seven years old. They’ve had almost no interaction with people in real life, and I… I just can’t stand it. I don’t have the energy to push through it.

I don’t want to sit there and reply to them in chat or argue with them. I don’t want to deal with it. If I had teammates I enjoyed playing with, I’d play and give it my all. But outside of that, it’s pretty tough for me.”

According to a statement by Sumail “Sumail” Hassan, the esports player dislikes the atmosphere in Dota 2 matchmaking due to the excessive number of younger players with whom he has little in common. The player acknowledged that he would enjoy playing in matchmaking if he had the opportunity to play with a pleasant group of people.

As a reminder, Sumail “Sumail” Hassan previously commented on Nigma Galaxy’s victory in the qualifiers for The International 2026.
