Oleg “Stray228” Bocharov said that he signed
Runa Team because he thought the roster was promising enough. Moreover, the team has a chance to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2025 and The International 2025.
The streamer said this in an interview with Cyber.Sports.
"I have a promising roster. A Tier 2 roster, that's right. But one that has currently qualified for the closed qualifiers for The International. They are playing against NAVI today. Next, our roster has qualified for the closed qualifiers for EWC.
That means it can actually make it to EWC and The International. There is a chance.
The guys are training, they're sweaty and promising. What's the point? This isn't some random team that plays who knows where. These are guys with nicknames who are ready to win."
Nevertheless, Oleg “Stray228” Bocharov admitted that he does not yet plan to turn
Runa Team into a promising Tier 1 team, viewing the signing of the team more as his own media project, but he does not rule out such a possibility if the team begins to show the appropriate results.
“It's more of a media story. Problems need to be solved as they arise. And then we'll see. Let's wait and see, I'm not making any predictions here.”
Earlier, Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov criticized Oleg “Stray228” Bocharov's team, suspecting
Runa Team players of 322.
