Oleg “Stray228” Bocharov believes that patch 7.39d for Dota 2 will be the last one before The International 2025, and that the small impact on the meta is related to the teams' preparation process.
The streamer made this statement on Twitch.
“This is the patch that should be released before The International. A literal patch with +1 and -1 changes. Minor adjustments before The International.”
Although the content creator believes that The International 2025 will be an insignificant event with record low prize money compared to last year's tournaments in the series, according to his statement, in the patches preceding the event, the changes to the meta have always been insignificant so as not to have a strong impact on the level of preparation of the participants.
“Teams are preparing for The International, if there are any. I don't know who is preparing for it now — it's a roflotour with zero prize money. But throughout history [before The International], minor changes were made so as not to change the balance globally, because the teams played earlier.”
Recall that earlier Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko called on Valve to release a Compendium in Dota 2 as an apology to players for an uninteresting patch.
