Aleksey “Solo” Berezin stated that patch 7.40 does not really feel like a global Dota 2 update and is more reminiscent of patch 7.39f.
The esports player wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“Thoughts about the update straight from the beach. The patch is ****. In fact nothing fundamentally changed at all. ‘7.40’ sounded like something big, but in reality it feels like 7.39f”
According to him, the games have barely changed after the patch release, so he is surprised that the update received a number and not a letter, like minor patches. Nevertheless he is happy with the new hero Largo, although he noted that the hero needs buffs.
“The frog is cool, but it needs buffs. It’s not strong enough as a support. As a core by the way, it’s fine with Aghanim’s Scepter + Sange and Kaya. Honestly I expected more. I can’t say that the game has changed much, based on the number of matches I played and watched”
Solo also noted that for now
Largo is not showing very good results as a support, but can surprise in the core role. The player clarified that this requires a specific build with
Aghanims Scepter and Sange and Kaya then the new hero feels great in core positions.
Recall that earlier it became known that
Tidehunter can solo destroy the Ancient after the release of patch 7.40.
