Alexey "Solo" Berezin, the ex-captain of
9Pandas, stated that while he has already put together a new team, they will not be competing in official matches anytime soon as they are still “testing” out the roster.
The esports pro provided that update while live on Twitch.
“I did some scrims today… When are the officials? Who knows, honestly? Am I going to play an official match anytime soon… Who did I play with? We are just mixing it up now to see if it works"
Solo confirmed that he does not intend to step back in to the pro scene, and that he has already put together a mixture of players. According to him, they are currently in the process of scrimming other teams to see how their lineup performs. He also stated that he was not going to make any predictions about the timing of his return to formal Dota 2 matches.
However, Solo was not forthcoming about the makeup or identities of the players on his new team, opening a window of opportunity that he could still be scouting for new players or assessing the current ones.
He previously said that he may be retiring and went on to elaborate the reasons behind it.
