Oliver "Skiter" Lepko, the carry player for
Team Falcons, stated that the team's defeat at Riyadh Masters 2024 was due to an insufficient understanding of the current Dota 2 meta.
He shared this insight on his X (Twitter) page.
"Brief summary of Riyadh Masters. Top 3 is a great result, although we aimed for more. I believe our understanding of the meta was lacking this time, but we’ve taken away valuable lessons that will help us at TI. Nonetheless, congratulations to Gladiators and Liquid for their victories over us, and special congratulations to Gladiators for the trophy. It was well-deserved"
Skiter feels that while
Team Falcons achieved a decent result, their incomplete grasp of the current meta prevented them from winning the tournament. However, he is confident that the team will correct this issue by The International 2024 and deliver better performance. Additionally, he believes that
Gaimin Gladiators victory was fully deserved.
Recall that earlier, the manager of
Team Spirit shared his thoughts on the team's performance at Riyadh Masters 2024.
