The popular Sirocco mod for Dota 2 has been released as a full-fledged game in the MOBA genre

The popular Battleship mod for Dota 2 and WC3, which is virtually 15 years old has officially been launched under Steam as a full-fledged MOBA.

The game shares the distinguishing mechanics with Dota 2, but it is treated as a different MOBA with a completely new setting. Instead of the usual fantasy heroes, there are ships, which like in the game, replace the usual creeps. The normal looking map which encapsulated a river now extends out into a massive ocean split into sections of land which resemble a Labyrinth.

But for the moment, the developers have stopped a lot of people from accessing the game, meaning not everyone can have a chance to test it. But from the screenshots and videos, the game seems to have a lot going for it including mass battles, many ship types including a lore class of ships while implementing new MOBA-like creative ideas.

Valve suggested a radical map change to Dota 2 by drowning a portion of the map which would have a positive influence in playing the game.
