Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner who is a streamer and co-host of The International stated that he was unable to complete the Crownfall event because he needed more than 15 days due to his participation in Deadlock & therefore requested Valve to extend the event for 15 days.
His message on Reddit goes as follows:
"My birthday happens to fall on the same date Crownfall ends, however, I don’t believe I will be able to fully enjoy it, which means everything will be a waste for me.
“Where have I been these past 6 months? Oh that's right, I was buried into Deadlock. I poured over 2000 hours into that. Am I at fault for supporting your title? Absolutely not. I am a loyal player. So why am I being treated like I am at fault for appreciating the plethora of titles you offer?”
Time and again he has requested for patience stating, “Only 15 days Valve, please. Thanks a lot"
He began the statement by stating that he was already aware of the timeframe of the event that was scheduled to start from April last year. To his defense, he played over 2000 hours of Deadlock which prevented him from participating in the Dota 2 event.
That number is surprising, to say the least – this indicates that SirActionSlacks has put in a whopping 83 days into playing the Deadlock title from Valve.
Previously, Valve cautioned customers over the conclusion of Crownfall by establishing a timer.
