Seleri Highlighted a Serious Problem in the CS2 Pro Scene

Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp pointed out that the top 4 teams at The International 2026 consisted exclusively of teams from Eastern Europe.

The former esports player made this comment on his personal X page.

“It’s striking that only teams from Eastern Europe made it to the top 4 at TI15. This isn’t all that surprising, because most of the new generation of players are from that region, and it’s no wonder they’re performing well.

But the fact that they took all four spots in the top four is just ridiculous.”

According to Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp, this situation doesn’t surprise the esports player, since the majority of the younger generation of pro players come from this region. Nevertheless, the former esports player disapproves of this trend, as it points to a decline in the esports discipline in other regions.
