Korb3n spoke out about the League of Legends pro scene

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov noted a decline in audience interest in professional League of Legends.

The Team Spirit manager made these remarks on Twitch.

“If you set aside how LoL inflates its view counts through the client, there’s stagnation there as well. We’ll see what happens at the upcoming Worlds, but there was stagnation there a year ago.

In my opinion, LoL had problems. But they’re solving them through marketing, animated series, and other means. They recently brought back the old LoL with the old patches and so on.

Despite all its unique features, LoL also has problems. Dota doesn’t have problems—it has major issues. And League of Legends is experiencing stagnation.”

Acording to a statement by Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the situation will become clearer during the upcoming Worlds, but as early as last year, the Team Spirit manager noticed stagnation in the esports discipline. Nevertheles, Korb3n believes that the developers are using effective marketing to address League of Legends’ issues. Although he sees stagnation in this esports discipline, the situation in Dota 2 is even worse.

As a reminder, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov previously explained what rating is required to make it onto a Dota 2 youth roster.
