Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov stated that Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko sets the meta for the first position in Dota 2, which explains the popularity of the hero Doom.

“Why do they pick Doom as a carry and not as an offlane? Because Egor Grigorenko sets the meta.”

According to Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov, he does not consider Doom to be too strong a hero for the first position, but due to the high level of training of Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko compared to other players, he is able to effectively hold the line with this hero.
