S1mple Discusses Whether Donk Can Overtake ZywOo

Alexander “S1mple” Kostylev believes that Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets has a good chance of becoming the best player on the Counter-Strike 2 pro scene in 2026.

The player shared opinion on Telegram.

“I don’t know... I think Donk could very well be the best this year."

It is worth noting that in 2025, Mathieu “ZywOo” Erbo was named the best player on the CS2 pro scene by HLTV. However, many members of the gaming comunity belived that Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets was more deserving of this status. As a result, ZywOo received the top-1 award due to Vitality’s achievements and his numerous individual MVP awards.

As a reminder, Alexander “S1mple” Kostylev previously displaced Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets from first place on FACEIT in terms of KD.
