Rue spoke about a harsh joke by Korb3n before his transfer to Team Spirit

Alexander “Rue” Filin revealed that Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov once harshly joked that he had not been selected for Team Spirit and that another player had been chosen instead. The news initially upset the support player, but later the manager admitted it was just a prank.

He spoke about this in an interview with ESL.

“I was playing trial games, and then there was a moment when Spirit had three players to choose from. In the evening, Korb3n called me and said in a sad voice: ‘Sorry, we picked someone else, you didn’t fit.’ I was really disappointed, and then he added: ‘Alright, pack your things. In two days you’re flying to Serbia. I was joking.’ It was a real emotional rollercoaster”

Rue admitted that while playing for Yellow Submarine, he did not expect to make it into the main roster. Nevertheless, he decided to go through the trial games and could hardly believe that he had actually joined Team Spirit.

According to him, the situation caused strong emotional swings, but in the end he adapted to the new team and settled in successfully.
