Rostislav "rostislav_999" Protasenya claimed that professional esports players, including
Team Spirit, can pay Valve for special pro-player accounts. Allegedly, on these accounts, player behavior is not penalized, and there are other advantages.
This bold statement was made during one of the streamer's broadcasts dedicated to recovering an account in Dota 2.
"I was asked to keep this conversation confidential, but since they can't help me, I'll just say it. I talked to Valve to have an account like the pro players. Nothing decreases on it, nothing is reduced. They told me it's impossible. You have to pay the lobber money. Spirit... all teams pay money, you know? I won't talk about what we discussed on the phone"
This is indeed a bold claim, especially the implication about
Team Spirit, suggesting they might receive special treatment from Valve. However, the manager of
Team Spirit, Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, dismissed rostislav_999's previous statements with laughter, stating that the streamer did not talk to Valve and probably received a typical response from customer support.
Recall that earlier, Jean "Gorgc" Stefanovsky claimed that rostislav_999 was deported from the UAE for inappropriate behavior on the street.
