Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosyan explained that not everyone will be able to play
Chen, as performing well with this hero requires a lot of sacrifice and suffering in Dota 2 matchmaking.
The esports player shared this during a Twitch stream.
"Before you play Chen, ask yourself: 'Are you ready to suffer?' If not, then you are not compatible with this hero. People who play Chen are ready to sacrifice everything and suffer"
RodjER didn't elaborate on what he meant by sacrifice, but it might imply that the hero won't be as active as other team members and may lag behind in tempo. Additionally, sometimes you'll have to sacrifice your pets during matches.
Despite this,
Chen was the best hero in Dota 2 in terms of win rate increase with the release of patch 7.37b. Within just 24 hours, his win rate jumped by 5% after the game update. While his performance has since stabilized, he remains one of the best heroes, though quite challenging to play. Players must be prepared to control not only their hero but also their minions.
It’s worth noting that it was recently revealed that Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen is preparing a new build for the most difficult hero in Dota 2.
