Riyadh Masters 2026 was officially moved: where players will compete

The organizers of Esports World Cup 2026 officially confirmed that this years championship will take place in the capital of France — Paris.

This was announced on the official event page on X.

“Riyadh helped transform Esports World Cup into a global phenomenon. It is the home of EWC and one of the worlds leading esports hubs. This year we are excited to bring EWC to Paris — the first event outside Saudi Arabia.

Paris has hosted some of the biggest sporting events in the world and is considered one of the greatest global capitals of sports, culture and entertainment. Together with the passion of French fans and the incredible local support we received, we are excited to welcome the esports community there for the next chapter of EWC. Now Paris becomes the first international chapter in EWC history”

Teams will compete in their esports disciplines from June 6 to August 23. It is noted that because of the unstable situation in the region, the decision was made to move the championship to another country for the first time.

It is important to point out that something like this is happening for the first time in the entire history of Esports World Cup and Riyadh Masters. Whether future seasons of the championship could also be moved remains unknown for now. However, if the relocation positively affects fan activity and viewership, then similar moves in the future are definitely possible.
