The richest Dota 2 clubs: Team Spirit ranked only third

Last updated:  Ceb, Insania and Yatoro Dota 2

In the world of Dota 2 esports, there are many clubs striving for success and recognition. One of the important indicators of their success is financial performance.

According to data from eSports Earnings, a platform that tracks prize money in esports, the two-time world champions Team Spirit, currently holding the title, are only third in terms of total earnings among Dota 2 clubs.

Another interesting point is that another team, which has won The International twice - OG, also did not take the top spot in the ranking and landed only in second place.

The first place, however, was taken by Team Liquid, who managed to win the world championship title only once at The International 2017.

It's worth mentioning that while Dota 2 is not the sole source of income for these clubs, as they also have rosters in other esports disciplines, the MOBA game from Valve constitutes a significant portion of their earnings.

The richest Dota 2 club - Team Liquid

Team Liquid takes the top spot with an impressive total of $48,865,018 earned from participating in 2774 tournaments. This is the result of their years of activity, including victories in major world championships and consistent performances on the international stage.

It is worth noting that the club stands out among other esports organizations due to the immense number of tournaments played. They are ahead of their competitors by more than a thousand competitions, which is a truly impressive achievement even for esports veterans.

Second place - OG

OG secures the second spot with total prize money of $38,365,332 earned from 186 tournaments. OG is also known for their successes in world competitions, which helped them secure leading positions in the ranking. They became the first team to win The International twice, with Team Spirit being the only ones to repeat this success.

The team's consistent performance level and participation in prestigious tournaments throughout Dota 2's existence have enabled them to rise to become one of the most profitable esports organizations.

Third place - Team Spirit

However, even among such esports giants, Team Spirit has demonstrated outstanding results. Their total earnings amount to $29,755,277 from 241 tournaments. This confirms that the team competes successfully and achieves significant financial success.

It is noteworthy that a significant portion of this team's winnings comes from the Riyadh Masters 2023, where the prize pool was an impressive $15 million.

Statistics show that a team's success is not always directly related to the number of tournaments played. For example, OG played one of the smallest numbers of tournaments but ranked second in terms of prize money among esports organizations. This principle also applies to the younger organization, Team Spirit, which has also managed to establish itself among the most successful clubs.
