Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok said that he wanted to get a job at Valve to work on patches for Dota 2, but the player was rejected because the company requires strong programming skills.
The player made a statement to this effect on Twitch.
“I wanted to get a job at Valve, to be honest, doing patches. But there they answered that you need to have good programming skills. Without that, it's just unrealistic to get there.”
It's worth noting that despite regular changes to Dota 2's meta balance, new patches are released less and less frequently, and the changes are often criticized by players in the pro scene. Many players believe that Valve is now paying insufficient attention to the development of the game, focusing the main efforts on other projects.
Recall that earlier Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok admitted that he received a final rejection from
Team Liquid after years of trying to join the organization.
