Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo shed light on the high-profile incident between Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis and coach Dastan “Dastan” Akbayev, which took place at the BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 tournament.

“Mareks joked with Dastan, showing him the middle finger. Dastan replied that he should joke like that with his friends. Then Dastan came up before the game to make peace, but the argument started again. Things like this happen, but I don’t think it was malicious because of the game or something like that. According to FalleN, it all started with a bad joke. YEKINDAR jokingly showed Dastan an inappropriate gesture, however he didn’t take it lightly and made it clear that such behavior is unacceptable. Before the match started, Dastan tried to smooth things over and approach the player, but the tense exchange flared up once again.

After the loss to PARIVISION, YEKINDAR demonstratively refused to shake Dastan’s hand, which immediately drew the attention of the community. Later, Dastan himself confirmed that there was a conflict, but emphasized that the sides discussed the situation and made peace.
