Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, formerly the offlaner for Tundra Esports, has claimed that he was not drawing a salary from the team as he was just loaned to them and the only money he made was through winning tournaments, this was said by Roman during a Twitch stream.

“I was a free player for Tundra, meaning I received no salary and played only for the concept, no kidding, just so you” Roman stated when he was on loan he did not earn anything not even a cent and the only money he saw was through prize money, “I played to first prove it to myself"

He was completely fine with this arrangement and played only for the idea of esports, a personal motivation was to prove to him self how good of a player he was, which is why he signed onto an unpaid contract.

On the contrary, Roman revealed that the typical salary for tier-1 players is approximate $10,000 or above.

Crossing into other topics, earlier Roman shed light on the reason as to why he refrains from playing Dota 2 matchmaking.
