Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev said that
Team Liquid's Dota 2 roster was on the verge of disbanding, but the team was able to improve their preparation by actively training in matchmaking.
The player shared this opinion on Twitch.
“Liquid would have disbanded if they hadn't started playing pubs. If you're a professional player, you have to play. There's no choice here. You can't do without matchmaking, you have to push yourself. You can replace it by watching a lot of Dota, replays or Dota matches. You have to compensate for it somehow.”
According to Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, playing in matchmaking is mandatory for representatives of the Dota 2 pro scene, and unwillingness to train in ranked matches leads to poorer results. The esports player noted that if a player does not want to play in matchmaking, they must compensate for this by watching a large number of replays.
Earlier, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev explained why he has no motivation to resume his career as a professional player.
