Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev revealed that his famous Head & Shoulders commercial was originally supposed to feature not him, but his teammate Ilya “LiL” Ilyuk.

The renowned esports player talked about this during a Twitch stream

“Initially, my teammate Lil was supposed to take part in the Head & Shoulders commercial. But it happened that Lil stopped being part of the team, and all the brands started coming to me. Probably because I was young. And also because I had a clean haircut yeah. And overall, I think the target audience of esports is mostly younger guys, so the choice was logical”

He explained that the sponsors first offered the contract to LiL, but he soon left the team. As a result, the deals were offered to RAMZES666, and he accepted them, the player admitted. He suggested that the reason was that at that time he was one of the youngest and most promising players, which is why he was chosen to appear in the iconic shampoo commercial.

It’s worth noting that earlier RAMZES666 also hinted that he earned significantly more than $10,000 from that advertisement.
