Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev said that the hate towards players is not justified, because they spend almost all their time on esports, while prize money keeps falling, and at best they can expect around 100 thousand from the biggest Dota 2 prize pools.

He said this during a stream on Twitch.

“Before you played for 60 million dollars, now its like 2 million. And people say dota players are spoiled. After all that you still get like 100k from it. You don’t have only esports in life, right? you also do sports, spend time with your girlfriend, have a lot of free time. You don’t have a life. You spend all of it just to get 100 thousand dollars. If you don’t like factory salary - go play Dota. You would be farming 100k dollars”

RAMZES666 noted that players give almost all their time to esports and their complaints about prize money can be understood. He reminded that раньше players could count on 60 million prize pool at The International, but now only around 2.

Also the esports player added that from these 2 million they can expect something like 100 thousand dollars. He also responded to haters, saying that if pro play looks easy, then people should try going into esports themselves and earn that kind of money.
