During an interview at the DreamLeague Season 23, Roman Kushnarev of
Tundra Esports commented that Valve should reconsider glyph mechanics in the new Dota 2 gameplay patch and balance mega creeps to make games shorter.
He expressed this opinion during his interview at DreamLeague Season 23.
“We have to think about it. I would change the glyphs somehow, there are too many of them – that’s why games last forever. Once Tier-5 neutral items drop, this game becomes super random. Maybe mega creeps need buffing out. Previously with mega creeps you won like 90% of the maps; now it’s like 50/50. Anybody is sitting in the base waiting for mega creeps to come and just defending against them. It is boring”
He explained that the game lasts longer because of unbalanced glyphs and weak mega creeps, so he advised developers to improve these two properties in Dota 2. Also, he supposed taking into account characteristics of neutral equipment which makes outcome of fights purely unpredictable.
It should be mentioned that earlier on Valve had released Crownfall update for Dota 2, which featured a lore event within the game itself.
