A possible release date for a new global event in Dota 2 has been named

It is quite possible that Valve will release a new global event around April 19, since it was exactly on this date last year that Crownfall was launched.

This was reported by the dataminer Fay in his Telegram channel.

“By the way, I want to remind that Crownfall was released on April 19, and if that’s the case it’s worth mentioning that Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov gave an ‘insider’ that some kind of mega update will come in April. I always treat insiders with skepticism (because I think even Valve themselves don’t always know the exact dates of their updates), since such rumors appear all the time but rarely work out, but we’ll see”

The dataminer noted that there is no guarantee the update will be released on that exact day, but for now the theory looks quite realistic. He also said that the developers themselves may not yet know the final release date.

Nevertheless, he believes that the event might start around April 19, similar to how it happened with Crownfall last year.

Indirectly this is also supported by the comments of Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov, who previously said that Valve are preparing a large PvE event.

Another indirect hint is the active updates on the Dota 2 test servers, which usually happens several weeks before the release of a big update or patch, although nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
