Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev stated that as the team has been preparing for The International 2024 with Edgar “9Class” Naltakian, the team is having trouble playing with Martin “Saksa” Sazdov. However, the player believes that the team has played better the last few games.
The
Tundra Esports offlaner shared a relevant assessment of the lineup's play at TI13 on the Twitch broadcast of Alexander “Nix” Levin.
“Played the last two games okay. You know, like here's an example to give you. It's like if you've been training with one coach, and then oops - you have to go out to fight and you have a different coach, you know? So far, so good.
There's no prep. Imagine, we've been playing with another dude for a month, and 18 hours before we fly out, they tell us we're going with another dude. That's the state we're in right now. And we're playing the same way. Everybody's feeling it. We're either going to accelerate or we're not going to accelerate.”
Tundra Esports underperformed in the group stage of The International 2024, drawing three matches. The team was then able to defeat
G2 x iG in a replay and also made it to the top set of the playoffs by defeating
Heroic. In the first match of the main stage of the tournament, the team successfully defeated
Team Falcons for the first time in a long time, which surprised many spectators of the tournament. Next,
Tundra Esports will have to play with
Gaimin Gladiators in the semifinals of the upper grid.
Recall that earlier Edgar “9Class” Naltakian told how Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev showed himself in the team immediately after joining Tundra Esports.
