Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev admitted that before starting his career in Dota 2 he successfully practiced Thai boxing and even qualified for the national championship, but ended his sports career after one defeat.
The cyber athlete revealed this during a stream on Twitch.
"Guys, I actually had five Thai boxing fights before the age of 12, and four of them were victories. After the fifth fight - a tough one - I decided to end my career. I had gotten too hard. It was the qualifiers for the national championship. I left at the peak"
RAMZES666 said he performed quite well, winning four of his five official fights. However, in the fifth fight he suffered a crushing defeat, after which he decided to end his sporting career. He also emphasized that these were not just amateur meetings, but national qualifiers, where the level of opponents was really high.
Perhaps it was after this that RAMZES666 switched to Dota 2 and began to build a path in cybersport.
Recall, earlier RAMZES666 told us why Watson actually left
Cloud9.
