Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, the midlaner of Gaimin Gladiators, stated that Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko is the only player who managed to come back after leaving the Dota 2 pro scene and become one of the best again.
He told TAVERNA.GG in an interview with the publication TAVERNA.GG.
“No[o]ne is a very strong player. He's basically the only one who has come this far. In the VP lineup, he was the best - no doubt about it. A generational player, a tournament champion, literally a top mid. And then he just disappeared, he became a mediocre player - he didn't show up at major LAN tournaments for years. And now he was able to get out of this quagmire through persistence and work, earn himself a second chance and once again become one of the strongest players in the world. He's really the only one who has managed to do that”
The Gaimin Gladiators player emphasized that he has great respect for No[o]ne and considers his journey an example of exceptional perseverance and strength of character. According to Callahan, no one else has managed such a comeback on the tier-1 scene.
“There's a lot of people who have been strong, then roll up - and that's it, forever. There are those who never made it to the top at all. And to be the best, then completely disappear for a few years, and then, with your own hands, labor to climb to the top again? Honestly, I don't know of any examples other than him. I have the utmost respect for him. It's his incredible merit”
Earlier, Team Spirit manager Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov explained to Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnaryov why he criticized his lineup for BetBoom Streamers Battle 10.
