Quinn "Quinn" Callahan, the midlaner of
Gaimin Gladiators, commented on the scandal involving Neta "33" Shapira, who refused to shake hands with opponents after the match. Surprisingly, he stated that 33 was not obligated to do so, and it's a strange tradition in esports.
Quinn posted his response on his Twitter account.
"Yo u ***** its some clowntown bo2 people dont gotta shake hands this crap doesn't matter and there's no beef me and neta are homies"
While he mentioned that he doesn't justify his opponent's behavior, he believes that the tradition of handshakes after losing a match looks strange. According to him, it could have been the breaking point, and 33 couldn't handle it.
"Losing sucks, and it's really weird having to go shake hands after a bo2. I'm not defending 33. You guys are too fixated on what happened. When you lose like that on stage, sometimes you're genuinely mentally broken, and something like that could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. It's not some egregious offense, it's literally nothing"
As of now, 33 has not commented on the situation after the match with
Gaimin Gladiators, but Quinn's reaction, known as one of the most controversial players in the community, has indeed surprised many.
