Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, a midlaner in
Gaimin Gladiators, revealed that he does not feel any pressure when playing against Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov, since it makes him glad his old teammate is doing well.
He said this during an interview on Twitch.
“Playing against Dyrachyo is an interesting storyline, but I don’t feel any extra excitement. I’m happy that he has achieved success"
In his view, games featuring the ex-carry of
Gaimin Gladiators are captivating both from a spectator perspective and from a player stand point. His sentiments caused waves in the Dota 2 scene, especially when he came out and showed support to Dyrachyo after his unpleasant removal and subsequent joining of
Tundra Esports.
Though a lot of fans in the Dota 2 community believe that Quinn’s celebration of Dyrachyo’s ability to thrive is misguided, a good number of people point out that Quinn himself has had a tough time dealing with losses in matchmaking.
This is also worth noting because a streamer from
Team Spirit accused Quinn of having the possibility of standing up for Dyrachyo during the team
Gaimin Gladiators, but choosing not to do so.
