Quinn The International 2024

Quinn Callahan, the midlaner for Gaimin Gladiators, unexpectedly stated that esports players have already earned enough money, so he doesn't see anything wrong with the smaller prize pool of The International 2024.

He made this comment during one of his Twitch streams.

"Look at the crazy prize pools of TI10 and TI11, which caused immense pressure. Literally, every match could be worth millions. It's astronomical money, especially if you don't live in the most expensive country. Now it's different, but that's okay. I don't think a reduced prize pool is that bad"

Quinn acknowledged the importance of the prize pool size but believes that its reduction hasn't significantly affected the popularity of TI13 among viewers or players. He also emphasized that esports players have already earned enough, so at The International, the title is more important than the money.

"I understand that a big prize pool made the tournament feel more important. It was cool to watch it grow. But it's fine. Just look at the viewership numbers and the streams. This TI has good numbers. The games themselves are good too. I think people enjoy watching the matches. Tier-1 Dota players have already earned enough, so a lower prize pool is okay"

It’s worth noting that earlier, Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev stated that the winners of The International 2024 will receive less than $1 million.
