Quinn Callahan, also known as Quinn, who is the midlaner for
Gaimin Gladiators says that their team got too full of themselves after The International 2023, and it may have hurt their performance.
He said this in an interview at ESL One Birmingham 2024.
“As for us, after TI and just in life, teams are more likely to become overconfident at some point. Especially when you achieve success, as we did last year”
Quinn explained that after taking second at TI12 and having a strong season before that, the team became very confident. This could have resulted in them not performing as well as they should have and playing worse overall.
“You can’t always keep up that standard. Right now we’re trying to regroup, but it takes time. Bad placements are just kind of the start of it … That’s how it goes — if you’re not good enough other people will be better than you. It all comes down to playing better. We’re not doing that right now”
Furthermore Quinn talked about how hard it is to be the favorites and set a high bar for everyone else in tournaments. He also admitted that
Gaimin Gladiators aren’t doing too hot right now.

Remember earlier when Quinn talked about a big issue within his team? Well they’re working on fixing it.
