Pure ban

Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko admitted that his Steam account was banned by Valve, and the reason was the use of cheats in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

He spoke about this during a stream on the club’s channel.

“I had two accounts. The first one was very long time ago, I left it because I got banned in CS:GO, unfortunately. I had to create a new one to keep playing. And why did I get banned? That’s not the point. I was messing around a little bit with cheats. So I had to make a new account, calibrated it at around 2.5 thousand MMR. But it was a long time ago, back then top MMR was like 6–7 thousand”

Pure admitted that he once had another Steam account, but it got banned. According to him he used cheats in CS:GO, which is why he received the punishment. After that he decided to create a new account and start climbing MMR again in Dota 2.

However, the player clarified that the losses were not that big, because at that time the top-1 of the European ladder was only around 6–7 thousand MMR, which is about 10 thousand less than it is now.
