Pure Revealed the Reasons Behind His Departure from BetBoom Team, Citing Disagreements Within the Team

Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko stated that he left the BetBoom Team Dota 2 roster amid a conflict with Anatoly “Boolk” Ivanov.

The player made this announcement on YouTube.

“I had asked for some time off before DreamLeague because I felt I wasn’t performing well. Relations between me and Boolk were pretty tense back then. I mean, we always got along well, but he was going through some personal issues at the time—and some issues with me—and I had some concerns about him as well. Things had been building up over the course of our time on the team, since it had already been about half a year since the start of the season. I wanted to take a break.

I was living in Moscow with my girlfriend at the time; I just wanted to hang out with her, not play Dota, just take a break. But the guys were against it. They wanted to play in every tournament. I’m all for playing every tournament, but sometimes you just need a break. And the guys—well, not so much the guys as Tolya—insisted that we not skip anything, because we’d already agreed to it. And he asked me to play. In the end, in the last few days, we decided that I wouldn’t play.”

According to a statement by Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, mounting communication issues with Anatoly “Boolk” Ivanov and other teammates created a less-than-ideal atmosphere, which led the player to decide he needed a break. The esports player admitted that for some time he had barely trained at all, spending most of his time with his girlfriend, which ultimately led to his replacement at DreamLeague.
