Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, captain of
Tundra Esports, has accused Valve of neglecting Dota 2 and completely ignoring The International 2024.
These bold accusations were made during an interview with the BetBoom Esports YouTube channel.
"I wasn’t surprised to see that the Compendium is once again lacking skins. This has been happening for years. Valve is slowly paying less and less attention to Dota. They care more about TI than Dota itself because they handed it over to PGL"
According to him, Valve has been giving Dota 2 less attention each year, as evidenced by the lack of hero skins in the 2024 Compendium. He expressed disappointment with the Compendium’s content and criticized Valve for giving the TI13 organization to PGL. He believes that Valve has become indifferent to the World Championship and simply handed it off to contractors.
It’s noteworthy that the
Tundra Esports captain made these accusations right before the start of The International 2024 finals. This timing may have been intended to make his statement more impactful, ensuring Valve would hear and respond to it.
Valve has yet to comment on the criticism regarding TI13 and the 2024 Compendium.
Previously, Valve released an important Dota 2 update ahead of The International 2024 finals.
