Ivan “Pure~” Moskalenko stated that the choice of Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnaryov for the position of offlayer in
Tundra Esports was primarily his decision. According to the cyber athlete's statement, the team decided to change Tobias “Tobi” Buchner because he was not reaching the level of the lineup.
The
Tundra Esports carry shared the relevant opinion n post-match interview at DreamLeague Season 23 during the YouTube broadcast of the tournament.
“To be honest, Tobi just kind of had a hard time. He doesn't have the biggest pool, and some things in the game are hard to execute. It's just that kind of decision. You don't have to look for something conspiracy. We decided that it would be better for the team.
The RAMZES transition was largely my decision. We'll see if it comes out justified. I think that Roma is a very skillful player. He won five majors in his time for a reason. He played well in
Virtus.pro's golden lineup and then in
Evil Geniuses.
RAMZES definitely knows something about Dota. If he doesn't play offlane but understands the game well, he can become a good player in this role as well. The main thing is to have the desire, and he has it. So I don't think he's any worse on the three than he is on the curry.”
With Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnaryov in the lineup, the team debuted at the DreamLeague Season 23 tournament. In the group stage the team showed the second result after
Team Falcons, but in the playoffs the team could not get a single victory, falling after two defeats from
Gaimin Gladiators and
BetBoom Team.
Earlier Ivan “Pure~” Moskalenko shared his first impressions of the game with the new offlayer.
