Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, the captain of
Tundra Esports, feared that his team was going to lose in the grand final of The International 2024 qualifiers because they had a weak draft. The real problem was with
Terrorblade.
He talked about this on “Road to The International,” a post-match interview released on YouTube.
The esports player did not hide his emotions and gave a hint about considering himself as an incredibly powerful player. Despite that
Tundra Esports made it into TI13; however, it wasn’t all rosy for them.
“First thing I can say is king of quals is back. King is back surprise surprise ****. What happened to us in the second game I don't know? Drafts went bad; we were using Terrorblade for winning lanes but he fed and mid didn't go well. When Whitemon saved at top I misplayed and then they snowballed us hard. These are all our heroes that we play on scrims; maybe they just never came together”
Although he doesn’t know why there were so many mistakes during drafting on the second map, he thinks that could be connected with choosing
Terrorblade. Nevertheless, TI13 is ahead for
Tundra Esports after defeating
PSG Quest with a score of 2:1.
Previously, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov criticized Pure's team's performance in the World Championship qualifiers for Dota 2.
