Clement “Puppey” Ivanov admitted that leaving
Natus Vincere in 2014 was one of the most difficult periods in his career, when he considered leaving professional esports.
The player shared this on YouTube.
"Regardless of whose fault it was or wasn't, it's just what happened. It was the worst part of it all. We finished in 8th place, losing to
Cloud9.
The team starts to fall apart, and you don't follow through and just start playing worse. Worse, worse, and worse. And you just don't want to play anymore. The funny thing is... it's been 11 years since then, but at that moment I felt it was time to end my career. Because I was very annoyed by the process of playing.
According to Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, the result of finishing in the top 8 at The International 2014 after losing to
Cloud9 was the beginning of the collapse of the
Natus Vincere lineup. Although the player admits that even during TI4 he was not feeling his best, when problems began to arise in the team, he began to think about ending his career, which the esports player recalls as a difficult period.
"I felt the same way after TI4, but the funny thing is that at that moment I wanted to end my career. It feels awful when that happens."
Earlier, Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko called himself the strongest player on the Dota 2 pro scene, promising to defeat Clement “Puppey” Ivanov in half a minute.
