Klement “Puppey” Ivanov noted that last season's DreamLeague favorites are leaving the tournament after the group stage this time around, while the underdogs are getting stronger.
The player shared this observation on Twitch.
"It's been a strange group stage — teams that were good at the last DreamLeague are now being eliminated. It's as if some have suddenly become weaker, while others have become stronger.
I think we're in roughly the same position right now: we don't really know if we'll win the tournament or just get a good place. So I don't know — we'll just calmly focus on the factors that help us win.
It seems to me that the meta is constantly changing. Right now, it's moving in a direction where everything looks pretty simple, but at the same time, nothing is so obvious.
If there used to be a lot of split pushing, now there's almost none. But, hypothetically, in a week everything could change again, and teams will start splitting again. You have to be able to catch the wave of where everything is moving.
It seems that we've caught that wave a little bit now, and I hope we continue to move in the right direction, because the meta will most likely shift again."
According to Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, the
PARIVISION coach believes that his team has remained at approximately the same level and currently has a good chance of achieving a decent result. The
PARIVISION coach also noted that the Dota 2 meta is currently changing rapidly, and his team has been able to adapt to this successfully.
Earlier, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov commented on Valery “SSS” Lazarev's first results with the team.
