The price of a taunt in Dota 2 skyrocketed sixfold after the reveal of the new Arcana

Prices for the Shadow Shaman taunt have skyrocketed six times after the news that the hero might get a new Arcana in Dota 2.

This is shown by the listings on the Steam Market.

If earlier the Shaman Dance taunt cost less than 50 cents, now the prices jumped to around $2.5 and keep growing. Some are even selling the taunt for $84. Other cosmetic items for the hero have also increased in price.

The reason is that dataminers found images of the Arcana for Shadow Shaman in the game files, and it might appear in Dota 2 in one of the upcoming updates. However it’s still unclear which slots the Arcana will take, and whether it’s even worth buying hero’s cosmetics during this hype.

In addition, there have been no official annoucements from Valve yet, so it’s not known if developers will release it at all.
