Players started getting banned for abusing a bug in CS2

FACEIT reported that their anti-cheat already started dealing with the texture replacement bug abuse in CS2, which allows players to get wallhack, and more than hundred players were already banned.

This was posted in the platform Telegram channel

“Important! We are aware about new exploit that allows to see through walls by modifying game files. At the moment our Anti-cheat already banned 125 accounts. We continue monitoring and will permanently ban everyone who tries to use this exploit”

It is noted that the platform tracks all violations, and already around 1225 accounts of unfair players were blocked. At the same time, on official CS2 servers anti-cheat still doesnt ban players, even tho the bug exists since summer 2025.

However, if bans already started on FACEIT, its likely that Valve may soon also start ban wave against players who abused this texture replacement bug in CS2.
