Players lost Arcanas in Dota 2 after the release of patch 7.40: Valve responds

Players started complaining to Valve about an unexpected issue where Arcanas for Monkey King and Shadow Fiend began disappearing, but the developers have already stated that the situation will be resolved within a few hours.

Complaints about the situation began appearing on GitHub.

Players report that they only have the base items for these two heroes, even though they didn’t transfer any parts of the Arcanas to anyone. A Valve representative responded, saying they are aware of the problem and it should be fixed after the database is updated within a few hours.

“Recently we moved the Monkey King and Shadow Fiend Arcanas to the ‘Hero Database’. Because of this we are releasing new components that were previously part of your Arcana. You will receive the missing items within a few hours, once our database is updated according to the changes. We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion. I will update this issue when the database changes are applied”

It is noted that players will receive the missing parts of the Arcanas, and the issue will soon be resolved, since it is related to a skin update.
